Anyone see Trish Regan make a complete fool of herself and get utterly stomped on by the internet?

She went on Fox Business Channel to try to take shots at the country of Denmark by comparing them to Venezuela and saying Danes are lazy entitled losers with low employment and no freedoms. And a Danish politican fired back and her and absolutely devastated her. The response has become way more viewed than Trish's original segment is.

Actually it is the socialists that have been pulling the rich/poor con since the time of Marx. Such utter nonsense but stupid people think that socialism is just great despite its abject failure everywhere it is tried. sad little clueless people keep getting conned into thinking that somewhere out there someone else owes them a free trip around the sun.

@hippyjoe1955 Well what we have here is a social democracy, It means the state supplies the basic need for the people in return we pay a higher tax, we are nowhere close to Marx or Communisme. And this society works pretty good. Free school, free Doctor, Free Hospital, A no corrupt public service and police. So what is it that dosent work ??

@hippyjoe1955 Ah, it's the resident neocon. I was hoping you'd materialize.

So you're telling me high employment, long life expectancy, high wages, modernized infrastructure, high rates of self-reported happiness, strong economy, high education rates, and no wars is "an abject failure?"

You'd get along great living in a place like, say, Iran.

@Inquisator No no, you don't understand, he wants FREEDOM. And that includes the FREEDOM to spend your entire life in wage slavery as you pay high taxes that are used for waging war and giving free money to the wealthiest corporations in the country.

See, this is what he doesn't understand. America IS a socialistic country, but it's socialism for rich people. A massive amount of tax money in the United States is used for something called "corporate subsidies." It's fancy talk for giving welfare checks to the biggest and richest companies in America, every year. So all the super-wealthy corporations, like Exxon-Mobil or Walmart for example, receive a complete unearned check at the end of each year just for existing, and that money is from citizens who pay taxes.

@Inquisator The state does not supply ANYTHING except poverty for all. Socialism in all its forms is significantly worse for individuals and individual freedom. People like you are simply conned into that crap thinking the government supplies. The government simply commits armed robbery in order to get re-elected. If you rob Peter to pay Paul you can count on Paul's vote.

@BlueMetalChick I dont think he would recognize freedom if it bite him in the a**. We are not without problems here but I feel a lot more secure in my freedom here, than anywhere else I have heard about, except maybe Iceland..
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick You are wrong about socialism as usual. Clueless high school kids always are. Sad really.
Inquisator · M
@hippyjoe1955 Poverty for all ? who are you talking about, This is not DDR or USSR it's a moderne country with a good economy. You are welcome to keep your freedom that depends on that you are able to pay for all your needs when they turn up. Let take it from the top. Pay for your education, Pay for your medical bills, pay for your retirement home, and pay for your funeral.. And please do this from a base of zero income to start with.

"Clueless high school kids"
lol
You are wrong about socialism as usual.
Sooooo...give me an example. I gave you examples of why I think socialistic economics are a good thing. You say they're bad, so tell me WHY. Don't just triumphantly proclaim that I'm wrong and be done with it. Let's hear the explanation.
Inquisator · M
@hippyjoe1955 Okay you are clues less of how the North european countries actually works. Typical grumpy old farts living too close to republican USA
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955
The state does not supply ANYTHING except poverty for all.
Despite the fact that socialist countries have higher wages and lower rates of poverty and homelessness than non-socialist countries?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Inquisator He does this all the time, he and I cross swords on a regular basis and he will screech about how terrible anything but anarcho-capitalism is until he's blue in the face, but ask for a reason, an explanation, evidence, statistics, data, numbers, anything rational, and he starts calling you clueless or saying random personal insults.
Inquisator · M
@BlueMetalChick Well it has been very funny to team up with you in this debate, He is absolutely clueless about anything.

@Inquisator The crazy part is to me that the hipster there actually lives in Canada...
Inquisator · M
@Pherick Yes I noticed that also, But i don't know how they operate thing there, but I have a suspicion, that they are closer to a european model than an American
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Pherick I think that's funny too. He should know firsthand. He opposes single-payer healthcare, or even public option healthcare, and wants a system more like Obamacare. Despite that he lives in a country where there's no such thing as 45,000 people dying every year from lack of basic healthcare, while America has that exact problem.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@Inquisator Indeed, I think they have a nice mix.

I visit Canada on a regular basis for work and have always thought they have alot of things going for them, government and social wise.
