But that's wrong. You can always pay for healthcare if you have the money.
Universal healthcare doesn't mean that the government will not let you find and pay for treatment.

my family member just finished discussing this with the hospital yesterday, he needs a specialist and they all work in places where they can actually make money, and so the few we do have not only suck but there are not enough to go around,

this is ppls health your talking about, not food stamps for a bag of chips and some macaroni.. universal healthcare will make everything even worse, if ppl who cant afford it cant afford it, its because they didnt account for it in their budgets and have no choice but to get a shitty doctor, the rest of the ppl who did save for a good health plan should not have to suffer for the lack of foresight that causes the suffering of so many. i live with this awesome health care you talk about, and its not so great..

we dont even have a non invasive thoratic surgery machine becuz we cant afford it!

But you're repeating yourself. I agree the the system doesn't work for everybody but it DOES provide better care for MORE people.

lol me too man. I nearly cleaned out my checking account paying rent and groceries this month. And yet i still don't mind helping out people who are poorer than i.
And again, it's not just criminals, my dude.
Or are you more on the "better to imprison a thousand innocent men than let one guilty man go free" side of things?

in the process removing your ability to play the humanitarian

your ability to appear caring depends entirely on the world remaining as it is, and so you have an interest in keeping the problems unsolved, causing the rest of us to suffer, otherwise you lose your identity, your not [i]really[/i] caring, your just following your natural instinct towards self preservation.. your just selfish.
