Seriously has anyone ever heard a politician directly answer a question? Election cycle after election cycle whether a press conference or debate is held and a question asked the politician in question launches into a prepared statement on another subject often including an attack on another politician. Seems to be accepted as standard operating procedure.

Politicians always try to spin the story so they don't look so bad.
That's not what trump does. When shit starts to stick he immediately summons up the most convenient scapegoat possible.
When no scapegoat is readily available he just says some batshit crazy shit on twitter so people start talking about that instead.
We can agree that some level of distraction and obfuscation is typical of politicians. What trump does is just one step short of waving his hand out to the side and shouting "look over here!"
