I'm afraid that's a little naive. What trump did was a deliberate, calculated attempt to discourage illegal immigrants from trying to enter the US by showing that doing so could end with you being separated from your children.
It wasn't a mistake. It wasn't an oversight. He wasn't doing it with all the best intentions. He did it so that exactly what happened would happen.
Then when the entire fucking world called him out on it, THEN he backpedaled.

@Pikachu but children are brought back to their parents eventually, and discouraging illegal immigration isa good deal for keeping kids away from their parents for a day or two. In fact Obama didn't do anything about child-parent separation either while president. I don't know why trump is blamed for it.

My point there is why are they different @Shewolfiie69? Many of them are smuggling for the cartels or are members themselves. Not all but many. But all, those with good and bad intentions, broke the law. Thus making them all criminals. And the policy Trump enforces is a policy enacted by Democrats. Why are illegals exempt from the law Democrats passed and Trump enforces?

@Shewolfiie69 It's ridiculous that Bernie is being rejected because of his age. Women can't be POTUS because we get our periods and will blow up the place every 28 days...and Bernie is too old. The DNC platform, is a hybrid of the centrist, pre-2016 views, and Bernie's more progressive agenda. I like the platform, and I will support the candidates who (in that order):
1. Support that platform, and can present a realistic roadmap to implement it.
1. Do not have too many skeletons in their closets.
2. Are below 60 years old (give or take a bit).
So far, the potential candidates, closest to meeting the criteria, are Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom. I'm sure Kimberly Guilfoyle's collection of dick pics will be released soon, and people will stop talking about it, by elections time.

And I think trump is the best candidate because Hillary is too corrupt and though I like Bernie, I think his goals would cause mass unemployment crises in America.
