“Okaaaay. That’s going to be special.”

Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats expresses surprise at the news that Trump is inviting Putin to meet in the US.

[quote]White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced the planned visit in a tweet, saying that national security adviser John Bolton extended the invitation and that “discussions are already underway.”

As the late afternoon tweet landed, Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats was on stage at the Aspen Security Forum in the middle of an interview with NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, who broke the news to him. Coats, clearly surprised, took a deep breath.

“Say that again,” he said. “Did I hear you?”

She repeated the news.

“Okaaaay,” Coats said. “That’s going to be special.”

When the Trump Abomination is finally over, whole libraries will be filled with books by people who worked in his Abomination, were in Congress, or were investigating him.

@windinhishair Just as long as the Presidency is not bogged down in scandals, trials, investigations, sex scandals, prostitution, etc. You know, because this is what would have happened, if Trump was not elected.

@Northwest I'm afraid the irony of that on the people who actually believe it is totally lost on them.
