It has been proposed (not by me) that the current administration feels education is unimportant and undermines it. Discuss?

Intelligent educated people did not put Trump in the White House.

@hunkalove blind collectivism. Such a big flaw in Democracy. What happened to the Republic?

@hunkalove From the Washington Post: "But what about education? Many pundits noticed early on that Trump’s supporters were mostly people without college degrees. There were two problems with this line of reasoning, however. First, not having a college degree isn’t a guarantee that someone belongs in the working class (think Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg). And, second, although more than 70 percent of Trump supporters didn’t have college degrees, when we looked at the NBC polling data, we noticed something the pundits left out: during the primaries, about 70 percent of all Republicans didn’t have college degrees, close to the national average (71 percent according to the 2013 Census). Far from being a magnet for the less educated, Trump seemed to have about as many people without college degrees in his camp as we would expect any successful Republican candidate to have."

@4meAndyou I don't think having a college degree makes you intelligent or educated. Trump is illiterate and has a degree. Dubya has an MBA and is a moron.

@hunkalove "Illiterate" means "unable to read". Let's be accurate with the language, please. I think we all know highly educated morons. However, disagreeing with someones' politics doesn't cause that someone to be a moron. It just means you probably hate them or hate their politics...or in George H Bush's case, it means you sure do wish he was a lot smarter....LOL!!!
@hunkalove I thought that all politicians were intelligent, educated, people, at least the ones that make up the Electoral College that voted him in.

@ImDone I think he is VERY intelligent. He realizes that Europe, Mexico and Canada are like roommates who agree to pay their share of the utilities but you never see the money. Then they go in the refrigerator and eat all your food, eff your girlfriend, and afterward they diss you and tell you you shouldn't give them a hard time over the money, because you don't have that many friends anyway.

There is a fine line between genius and insanity. Many insane people don't understand or realize that they are.@ImDone
