As a white male you DO have white male privilege. Just because you don't recognize it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

And how could you? It's all you've ever known?
Understand, this doesn't mean that no white male ever experiences a lack of privilege.
But you do have it. I don't know why this notion upsets you so much.

I want y’all to remember two things: EVERYONE has privilege and having privilege doesn’t make you a bad person. Privilege is not quantifiable by a checkbox. When I took that stupid buzzfeed privilege quiz, they said I was “underprivileged”. Wtf does that even mean??? Yes I’m a black queer woman. But you know what else I am? Wealthy. That awards me an enormous amount of privilege. Does that make me a bad person? No! Even straight white men have sources of oppression in their lives. Privilege just means you move through the world a certain way. That’s it.

Well yes...but it means that the way in which you move through the world is with advantages that are generally denied to other people for no reason corresponding to effort, morality or skill.

@Femme4thewin That's true. Having an edge is nothing to be ashamed of and it's something you simply inherit from society. However, once that knowledge is out there, using it at the expense of those who don't have equal footing calls into question ethics and morality.
