It is a sad situation, and maybe it is an issue involving fake news, as most of it today is fake news, and we as a people do not want to be lied to. We want those in the news to do their job, and tell us the news. Not indoctrinate us.
But it is another example is a good guy with a gun, that is not afraid to use it, is better than a bad guy with a gun. And 10 good guys with guns, that are not afraid to use them, is far better than one bad guy with a gun.
If they took away the guns, only that bad guy would have one.

It is not good guys that kill with guns. IT is the bad ones that kill people with guns.
Getting rid of guns would only take them away from good people, the bad people will still have them.
It is those that are not law abiding that need to be controlled, not the law abiding.@windinhishair

@carsonfry What are lies and what are truths? I need you to specifically define that. People will believe whatever they want despite "fake news." The fake news people wouldn't recognize facts if it was a blonde with big t!ts staring at them in the face.
The arguments against fake news are very valid with corrupt journalism but some of these people who yell fake news also follow Breitbart and Alex Jones. The same Alex Jones that said the Sandy Hook shootings were faked. I could go into so many reasons why that's pure bull crap but a neuroscience student did a successful job at debunking Alex Jones.
There's some major articles on Breitbart about events that never even happened and when it's found out, it already spreads like wild fire.
What are facts????
For 8 years there was the rise of the "white militias" because white people got scared we had a black president and decided that they were going to stop the "incoming minority (Muslim) invasion." The only difference now that Obama isn't president, the "invasion" never happened but we have a president who caters to that same ideology.
One can't stop fake news if their not going to go outside their ideology, it shouldn't even be an argument unless people start looking at their own biases it's not going to go away.
All of that is not a justification for shooting people IF I am right which I hope I am not.

@carsonfry No one wants to take everyone's guns away. But it is simple math that the more guns that are out there, the more people will die from guns. Suicides and accidental shootings count for the people who are dead of maimed, and their families. More guns make us less safe overall, not safer.

That is a lot to digest in a few statements, but I understand you frustration, as I am frustrated as well.
But we are addressing two different issues, one is gun control and the other is fake news.
According to gun control, good people with guns are better than bad guys with guns, and I believe this is proven quite simply by us having a police force. Those good guys with guns deter a lot of crime and stop a lot of bad guys with guns before the bad guys use them.
Secondly, the fake news. Alex Jones is fake news. News is freely offered, and unfortunately, we have too far many that are too lazy to study the sources they listen to, they just assume them all to be correct.
There was a day then the news was mostly accurate, but not anymore today. You have to study and test those you want to believe in. Those that pass, you continue to believe in, those that fail to be truthful after a week, a month, a year, or a few years, should be treated as false.
