Actually it's a crock for everyone. Indentured servitude is the new name for modern slavery.

@Steve42 My ancestor on my fathers side came to this country, in 1732, as an indentured servant, on a farm in the Virginia Colony. Its nothing new.

@sunsporter1649 Yes, that's true. But everyone with a mortgage, car payment, credit card debt, is just as much an indentured servant. Ask any of them if they like what they are doing. Even the folks who 'work for themselves' are really we working to pay off the debt they owe the banks for at least the start up costs. No one 'own's' anything except the banks shareholders. Skip a payment, see how quick they are willing to throw you under the bus.
