Do you have evidence to say that immigration damages your country?

Economic or otherwise. This is not gonna be a debate about the legality or ethics of immigration, just the impact. Anecdotal evidence is less neutral and less significant than statistics.

@ExtremeNext LOL. OK. Prove it to me. Australia is a nation founded on immigrants, as you surely know.

@ExtremeNext why in earth would you attack someone for posing a pretty good and rational question that likely has no been answered to the satisfaction of either side? How can you call someone a dumb arse and not even try to bolster your argument with facts? That is so fucked up.

@nedkelly OK. I still haven't had you or anyone else provide a link. The European immigrants to Australia did destroy the old culture, though I'm not sure that the new one is in any danger.

@Burnley123 nobody cares enough about giving you a link for fuck sake because your question is amusing enough

@ExtremeNext The whole question asked for evidence which you can't provide. Well done for commenting anyway though. 😜

This gave me a chuckle. I would like to add, that the very foundation of Australia, is not just immigrants, but criminals. New South Wales, the first European settlement was founded by criminals, who were sent to work off 7 and 14 year sentences, and given the option of either returning to England, or remain and receive convicts to "manage".

I find it very hilarious, that Captain Bligh, who was on the business end of the only mutiny in the history of the Royal Navy, was also on the business end of a mutiny in New South Wales :-)

@Northwest Yeah, we Brits know about that too because we were the first immigrants (and criminals). The aboriginal population was treated abysmally but ironically Australia now has the most brutal immigration policy in the world. They have off-shore detention camps which have awful conditions.

@Burnley123 Kind of like second generation "offshoring" of immigrants.
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@Burnley123 off-shore detention centers are for ILLEGAL immigrants

@nedkelly Exactly
