I have a question for those of you who think Trump is an idiot.....

He is a billionaire, president of the United States and leader of the free world. Doesn't sound too stupid to me. Exactly what have you accomplished that makes you any better? And if you're not incredibly wealthy or the leader of an entire country, anything you say cannot possibly compare.

I know for some it must seem odd not to worship money and power, some of us have values and morals that are different.
No one will ever hear about me but I spend my days working with emotionally damaged and abused children. I will never be rich or famous.
You will consider me a failure.
I am fine with that.

This is to have succeeded!”

Not a single dollar sign or indication of power anywhere.

@SW-User Yes it is. That was written in the 1850s, and it is still true today. There is some doubt whether Emerson wrote it or someone else, but it does not diminish the strength of the words then and now.

@SW-User I never said or suggested anyone was a failure, so that's putting words in my mouth. And I never mentioned anything about values or being a good person. All I was talking about was intellect, and the people who bash the president so often say he is dumb or unintelligent, when he is clearly not. Whether you agree with him or not, you can't argue that he has the intelligence to make a good life for himself and get what he wants.
