The governor of California has created a permanent law rationing indoor water use for all residents to 55 gallons a day.

By 2030 that amount will drop to 50 gallons a day for indoor use. That amount is per person in the household per day.

Mothers are wondering how they will do laundry. Could you live with only using 55 gallons of water a day, including dishwashing, laundry, showers, bathing pets, and so on?

I think my son uses that in one shower :(

@Keepitsimple It is a touch over 2 gallons a minute for a shower, but they do have water savers that you can screw inside the shower head. You can't really tell the difference except in water pressure.

@4meAndyou I’m the mother that screams “what the hell are you doing in there!!!!!!! Get the hell out now!”

@Keepitsimple LOLOL!!! Put a timer in there. Tell him to set the timer, and he has to turn off the water when the timer goes off.

@Keepitsimple Send him to the Navy, showering is very efficient in the Navy. Ships have limited ability to supply water at sea.

@Xuan12 This particular son wouldn’t last an hour in the navy...Lol
