Comey and Clapper: True American Heros

By inserting spy's into the Trump campaign, thereby assuring no Soviet interference in the campaign, kept the campaign so clean that intense investigation has found nothing to support the allegations, those two assured the American people that the Trump campaign was run clean as the driven snow. All hail these two, they should be awarded the Medal of Freedom.

More right wing crap? Yesterday it was a spy. Today it is multiple spies? And no one was inserted into the campaign. The informant was used to talk to a couple of trump campaign officials (the ones you call coffee boys with no involvement) in a counter-investigation that was legally launched as a follow-up to other information (no, not the dossier) that indicated that Russia was trying to compromise the campaign. Given trump's aversion to any information coming out about it, and willingness to do anything, lawful or unlawful, to prevent it, it appears that the concern was warranted and the campaign was compromised.

@windinhishair You mean there was no spy? Merely just an intelligence agent inserted in the campaign to look for Russians? I am sure, that as a matter of course, that the Trump campaign was notified that there were agents inserted into the campaign to protect the campaign, just as they inserted agents into hillarys campaign to alert her that they were investigating Russian involvement in that campaign. How wonderful of them.

@sunsporter1649 You have no clue how intelligence is gathered, do you? Nor do you care.

@windinhishair Ever heard of the 4th Amendment to the Constitution?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 Of course. That's why the FISA warrant was obtained, with supporting evidence, to legally conduct an investigation of potential Russian interference. Exactly as the 4th Amendment specified.

@windinhishair What supporting evidence? The steele memorandum? A drunk? Newspaper items? TV commentary? And new supporting evidence every time the application is submitted to continue the approval? Perhaps they got the DNA results from the beds in Moscow, along with the hookers.

@sunsporter1649 The original warrant was obtained legally based on information from Papadopolous and others about potential Russian infiltration. The Steele Dossier hadn't even been written yet. Each time it was renewed, the information obtained was reviewed by the federal judge to determine whether the warrant was appropriate, as required by law. And each time sufficient evidence was present. It is a high bar, as it should be, and the evidence was there each time.

Why do you think that trump is willing to rip apart the Constitution to prevent the lawful investigation from continuing? He knows what he's done, and he knows that Mueller is getting close to the truth, if he isn't there already. And that will result in trump's removal from office. trump's only possible defense is to attack the investigator, and he's being assisted by Nunes and others who have allegiance to trump over the country.
