Trump Congratulated Putin?

Had to laugh at this one; it's so true.

Wonder if during Take Me Out to the Ballgame Obama sang, "Let us root, root, root for the home team..."

Apart from the cartoons being wrong, did those three countries rulers hack into the elections and get Obama elected with their efforts originating in their own countries? Nope...They didn't.

[@ Becky, you know if Putin does that and Hillary had been elected she would have done nothing about it.

@beckyromero Well I am. I'm light years away from the streaming pile of doo doo slide.

You should just get away from that high class toilet and forget about this politicus vomitus.

Come to Wisconsin. Enjoy the dairy air.

Hillary would not have made these comments (which Trump did, in an interview with the New York Times in July 2016):
The Times asked Trump: “If Russia came over the border into Estonia or Latvia, Lithuania, places that Americans don’t think about all that often, would you come to their immediate military aid?” The full exchange is worth reading:

TRUMP: I don’t want to tell you what I’d do because I don’t want Putin to know what I’d do. I have a serious chance of becoming president and I’m not like Obama, that every time they send some troops into Iraq or anyplace else, he has a news conference to announce it.

SANGER: They are NATO members, and we are treaty-obligated ——

TRUMP: We have many NATO members that aren’t paying their bills.

SANGER: That’s true, but we are treaty-obligated under NATO, forget the bills part.

TRUMP: You can’t forget the bills. They have an obligation to make payments. Many NATO nations are not making payments, are not making what they’re supposed to make. That’s a big thing. You can’t say forget that.

SANGER: My point here is, Can the members of NATO, including the new members in the Baltics, count on the United States to come to their military aid if they were attacked by Russia? And count on us fulfilling our obligations ——

TRUMP: Have they fulfilled their obligations to us? If they fulfill their obligations to us, the answer is yes.

HABERMAN: And if not?

TRUMP: Well, I’m not saying if not. I’m saying, right now there are many countries that have not fulfilled their obligations to us.

SANGER: You’ve seen several of those countries come under cyberattack, things that are short of war, clearly appear to be coming from Russia.

TRUMP: Well, we’re under cyberattack.

SANGER: We’re under regular cyberattack. Would you use cyberweapons before you used military force?

TRUMP: Cyber is absolutely a thing of the future and the present. Look, we’re under cyberattack, forget about them. And we don’t even know where it’s coming from.
Very dangerous talk.

Except he did neither of those 3.

@SW-User
If you're going to complain about Obama then do ot right!
As I said, not complaining about Obama for the handshakes. (There are plenty of things I can complain about him, but not this.)

It's the hypocrisy I'm talking about from my party and the talking heads in the media.

(I also haven't heard or seen anything to indicate that Obama criticized Trump for calling Putin.)

@beckyromero fair i guess, but thr party isnt complaining. The people are

Whoever drew this cartoon, does not really care for accuracy, much like Trump.

President Obama shook hands with the leaders of Turkey, and Cuba and Putin, when he met with them. He did congratulate Putin in 2012. At the time, things were a bit different.

This time around, the UK, France, (Germany??), and the US, had just expelled a bunch of Russian diplomats, and they expelled a bunch of ours, in a tiff over the Russian poisoning, again, of Russians in London.

As far as I remember, it was mostly the Republican lawmakers, who issued negative statements, and were caught off guard by what Trump did, given all the poisoning and deportations tension.

Trump never met with Iran's President. He did shake hands with Iran's foreign minister.

As far as I know, I don't recall President Obama congratulating them on anything.
