The Russians claim it can wipe out entire seacoasts with a 300 foot high tsunami.

And then there's Trump with his constant nuke boasts.

Why do these two megalomaniacs have to act like two frat boys who keep buying flashy new cars to compensate for their pathetically small penises?

A reason for reminding each other that they have nukes is to remind all players that if they try to nuke somebody they get nuked back no doubt. It's the mutual threat that keeps nuclear war at bay since WW2. It's not about who has the flashy car it's about reminding the ones who already showed their car that they are not the only one in the race.
