@Elegy my mother is on welfare. Its not about me. Unlike many peoppe I dont support things because it beenfits me or has anuthing to do with me. I support things i think benefit society in the long term. This nonsensr is putting us in more debt

@PiceousPanda That's an odd notion. Of course it's about you and your feelings are influencing your beliefs. Welfare isn't making us go broke. Our economy is way to diverse for any one thing to be targeted as the 'fix' for our economic woes. That's why there is always debate about it.

People vote for what they want in the moment without realizing it is not healthy for this nation and us as people. We will falter and those people on benefits will suffer because instead of trying to work with what we got. we chose to be irresponsible

@Elegy social programs that dont benefit this nation that is mostly for social agendas. less government services and programs. if we cut these type of prgrams and the amount of spending we do on it. we will improve out debt situation and when that happens we can figure out long term goals on how to make sure poverty becomes less of a problem which will require sacrafice. we can sustain this country instead of having to go through a collapse every single time. we vote in people who are trying to please us instead of voting in people who should be trying to make sure this country last and long term ends up successful. its about 30% of our spendings. we also spend a great deal in the military. and medicare and healthy which isnt a problem. but we health care system is so corrupt which is why it is so expensive and ruining some lives. people on welfare although going through a lot will drag all of us down togethor in a more shit situation eventually. no one will listen though.

@Elegy we dont have that money. we contribute it to the debt. because 30% of the budget is not even for us. we pull money out of thin air to take care of these people.

@Elegy because were signing more bills to encourage more spending... i think trump signed or will sign a bill that wll allow this country to spend another 1 trillion. this is very common for anyone who is going bankrupt to jsut spend

What about the spending cuts for regulatory bodies like the EPA. That ought to help right?

@Elegy im not familiar with that but its possible, i hgihly doubt anyone has any interest in helping. im trying to prepare myself for what WILL happen. regardless of ur political stance. it will happen because no one cares theyre in there own life.

@Elegy possibly. i dont think its greed. desperation. sympathy in the wrong place? when women were given the right to vote we should have required them to be more informed about it. i think thats the start on how we came to this situation. they want stuff. men valued freedom more. which is why there seems to be a difference in political stance. i think its being misinformed simply
