How true is this?

The left-wing are the champions of tolerance unless they don’t like you. They push for free speech unless they disagree with what your opinion is. They believe strongly in women’s rights, unless you are a pro-life woman. They will advocate for $15 minimum wage but will say nothing when your job is gone. They will say democracy is the best form of government and then kick and scream to overturn the results they did not vote for.

I want so badly to rail against every single segment of this because 100% of it is trash but the worst part was this right here:
They will advocate for $15 minimum wage but will say nothing when your job is gone.
The left wingers are the ones supporting protectionism, which keeps jobs in your country. They’re doing the work that prevents your job from getting outsourced to fucking Bangladesh, like the right wingers keep trying to do.
@BlueMetalChick It is not often that I agree with you. But you are so right about 'outsourcing'.
A typical example is a well-respected British company which has all its jeans manufactured in Bangladesh, then important back to the UK.
There is the leather 'Trade Mark' patch stitched onto the back.
This allows them to say that these jeans are manufactured in Britain!
Crap!

@charley6000 Both parties here in America do it, Obama outsourced 87,000 jobs his final year, Trump outsourced 93,000 his first year. They don’t care if they’re republican or democrat, they’re all fucking thieves.

@BlueMetalChick How does a president outsource jobs? Just curious.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955 By intentionally removing regulations which keep jobs in the country, in my case America, in your case Canada. Also by signing free trade agreements like NAFTA, CAFTA-DR, or TPP. And by refusing to use any tariffs to entice businesses to avoid shipping overseas.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick So how would you propose a president keep jobs within the country? Capital doesn't have borders. So unless you tear up every trade agreement in existence. Any concrete plans to keep the jobs in the country. BTW I am on your side. I am simply pointing out the complexity of the situation.
@hippyjoe1955 Try understanding Brexit pal! Hee!
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955 I can offer a few of my opinions but keep in mind I’m in the US so some of these might not apply to you.

The big elephant in the room that should be addressed here is permanent normal trade relations with China because that’s been devastating to the American work force for years now. Right-to-work laws are disastrous too because they allow for much lower labor standards.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick I agree. How do you negotiate it? I doubt that simply imposing it would work. The president is not a dictator and he is facing a huge organization that is working to get rid of him because they want to make money off of cheap Chinese products. They are globalists and are well represented in the US congress. They also own the media and a goodly number of the US civil service also wants globalization since they think it will increase their power and influence.
@BlueMetalChick Honestly. It does not matter how simple the solution seems to us.
Just imagine how many politicians and Civil Servants were put out of work, if everyone just sat down to lunch and agreed!
Same applies to borders and wars!
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955 The current president here is the epitome of establishment politics, trust me, Washington has no desire to get rid of him, with a few exceptions. If he were to miraculously change his mind overnight though, you’re right, the entirety of congress would fight him.

I would say the solution would need to be long term, by voting out the corrupt parasites in the Senate and House by removing campaign contributions from the equation and having publicly financed elections with candidates who do not accept corporate or PAC money, thus removing the practice of electing entirely corrupt puppets who are beholden not to their constituents but rather to their big money donors, the only party who benefits from outsourcing in the first place.

In short, get rid of Citizens United. Stop treating corporations as people and money as speech.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick Actually he is an outsider and not an epitome of anything political. He has never even been elected before. Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter, etc were all political animals and lived and breathed politics. Trump didn't. Not defending Trump. Simply pointing out that he has done more to bring jobs back to the US than the previous 5 ever did.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955 Lol. Trump. An outsider. Have you not noticed he’s the bottom bitch of the establishment? If he’s such an outsider then why is he such a suck up to big money interests, to Wall Street, to Goldman-Sachs? Dude, come on.

More to bring jobs back? More jobs were outsourced under Trump’s first year than even Obama ever did, and Obama was disastrous with outsourcing.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick So which party did Trump belong to? Surprise Both. What political office did he seek before the presidency? Answer none. If you understood what an insider it it might help.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955 You’re not comprehending what a political outsider means. It doesn’t describe someone who simply isn’t a member of a party or hasn’t held office before. An outsider is someone who’s allegiance is not tied to the establishment, e.g. the military industrial complex or the fossil fuel industry.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick I believe we are talking past each other probably because you have been listening to the MSM too much. Trump is likely the best president you could hope to have at the moment if you want to repatriate jobs. There was no one else running that even wanted to talk about it let alone bring in the tariffs Trump has. Look at the slate that was given for you too choose from.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955 What’s MSM?

Did you notice we’re now 93,000 jobs shorter than we were before and he hasn’t imposed any tariffs and has continued to allow right-to-work laws to gain dominance and has slipped provisions from TPP back into the renegotiations of NAFTA? Does that sound like “the best president you could hope to have at the moment if you want to repatriate jobs?” Because that sounds like outsourcing to me.

@BlueMetalChick MainStream Media.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick I already asked you what he could do to stop it. You didn't answer. Private industry does not take orders from the president.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955 I gave you two entire paragraphs as an answer, did you miss that??
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@UndeadPrivateer Oh, thank you.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@BlueMetalChick You're welcome. You'll never get it out of this guy, he attended Trump University for Deflection.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@UndeadPrivateer So you are clueless too? I am asking legitimate questions. What could any president do to bring jobs back to the US?
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@hippyjoe1955 You've gotten your answers. Not my fault you're blind, buddy. 🤷
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@UndeadPrivateer What answer was that? I didn't see it as being viable. Private money is private. The president is not a dictator. Do you have a real solution?
