Do trump supporters know he really isn't the savior type person he claims to be or...

Do they really believe he's a successful businessman who is tough as nails, a self-made man of principle who identifies with working people, is draining the swamp, and cares about the future of the USA?

If possible, limit the bias in your answers. And, no insults. Oh... and no cliches.

Sorry... just one more thing... no conspiracy theories.

Trump didn't in 2016 from only the support of voters you're saying think he's "the savior type person he claims to be."

Nor will he win re-election in 2020 from only the support of the people.

There's a large chuck of the Republican / conservative electorate who would vote for a viable alternative.

But the Democrats can't really hope to appeal to most of those voters and defeat Trump when they continue to demonize them and lump them in with the die-hard Trump voters.

@beckyromero They should look at Conor Lamb's campaign

@beckyromero I think we have to rule out the "trump voters" which I recognize is the crux of the problem. They are rebelling for the reason they feel forgotten and left out. But, they are too "dug-in" on trump to ever let go of him... even for a viable alternative. At this point, their pride is on the line. Generationally, they are the same 35 - 40% who supported Nixon even after it was evident he had been involved in a criminal cover-up. It's the same 35 - 40% who supported Joe McCarthy in the 1950's. It's the same 30 - 35% who promoted the idea of "100% Americanism" during the FDR years as a code to keep Eastern Europeans out and away.

So, the solution is to move ahead with them and let them follow along without forcing them to swallow their pride or admit they were on the dark side of history for the time they were in the limelight.

@TotalMiss I suppose that statistic you have magnetized on your refrigerator door and glued to your heart is all the opinion-based proof you will ever need to continue to force yourself to walk off the cliff... you know similar to the way the Jonestown cult followers drank the Kook-Aid.

Wait until the trillion dollar deficit, runaway inflation, high gas prices, the after-effects of no gun control legislation out of fear of the NRA, the empty-headed smiling arrogance of Kellyanne Conway, the lying sack of shit that Sarah Huck[ster]bee-Sanders is, and the lack of nuclear bomb controls on Iran that will be implemented in North Korea in the same way, but under trump's name, and "Melanie" divorces trump for cruel and unusual punishment catches up to those hoards of supporters you claim are out there and you are hanging your hat on. But, not to worry... I'm sure for your loyalty you will be invited to trump Tower (cash bar only) for a distraction and if that doesn't work, you will at least have YOUR wall. Ah yes... the wall.

@TotalMiss I know that America is great and was great before Trump but he apparently feels it isn't and he needs to make it great again. I saw a tweet by Judge Roy Moore (Trump said he's a fine man) that said America was great when there was slavery. 😱

Unemployment has been trending downward for years before Trump.

@TotalMiss 1 of 23: He criticized Obama for playing "too much golf" and vowed not to play any golf if/when elected. He plays more golf than any previous president and my guess is he knew he was lying (and didn't care) when he made his pledge. And, yes... I know "lots of business" (allegedly) gets done on the golf course.

@SimplyTracie Yeah, but these are facts. trump followers prefer opinions because they are more convenient and easier to understand blindly.

@TotalMiss Eek 😬
I have no problems actually. I think my problems would all be self inflicted anyway. I don't think I’d blame Trump.

The graph shows a trend that quite possibly means Trump is riding an Obama wave. I don’t know. I admit I know little about economics.

I will research all that. Thank you. Will I find that interest rates are now at its lowest rate? Is it a good time to buy a house?
