Trump declares the FBI seizing documents from his lawyers as an "Attack on our country"."

Seems he thinks he owns America now.
Does anyone else remember the good old days when the slimy lawyer hiding behind the technicalities to keep some scumbag out of jail was the "bad guy?"

Violating attorney client privilege is only ok if libs are doing the violating ... right?
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@TexChik A special team of FBI agents will have to evaluate which documents are privileged and which are not. Career FBI agents had recommended Deputy McCabe be fired so I think it will be properly done.

@SimplyTracie a teammof FBI agents covered up the sale of uranium to Russia . A team of FBI agents exhonerated Hillary before she was interviewed , a team of FBI agents obtained fisa warrants to spy on the president based on a paid for and concocted dossier . And a team of FBI agents ignored information about a mass shooter and 17 people were killed

@SimplyTracie Any bets on how soon the documents end up on the front page of the new york slimes and the washington compost?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@TexChik Oh, don't worry, they were pretty thorough.

1. Before obtaining a search warrant, investigators had to try to obtain the evidence in another way, such as by subpoena.

2. The authorization for the warrant had to come from either the U.S. attorney or an assistant attorney general. (Rosenstein is deputy attorney general, a higher position than assistant attorney general.)

3. The prosecutor had to confer with the criminal division of the department before seeking the warrant.

4. The team conducting the search had to “employ adequate precautions” to ensure that they weren’t improperly viewing privileged communications between Cohen and his clients.

5. The search team would have included a “privilege team,” including lawyers and agents not working the case, which would work to ensure that investigators conducting the search didn’t see privileged communications.

6. The investigators had to develop a review process for the seized material.

So you can sleep well tonight. Even if you don't understand the facts, things are unfolding as they should.

@Graylight a leftist activist judge would give a warrant to Mickey Mouse if he asked for it

@Graylight I have a bridge I wanna sell you.....cheap.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@sunsporter1649 Ooh, this is fun! I have a book I want to offer you. It's called Constitutional Law 101.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Graylight I think you should send a copy of that book to every democrat party member of the US Congress. Apparently none of them have ever heard about that book, or the US Constitution
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@TexChik I think they have a competent FBI Director to oversee this process. After all he was hand picked by Trump himself.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@sunsporter1649 If the documents are leaked to the press, it’s on the Director of the FBI. I’m sure you have faith in him.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@SimplyTracie You are remarkably even-handed.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@sunsporter1649 You base that on what specific violations?
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Graylight Thank you? 🤔
Graylight · 51-55, F
@SimplyTracie Oh, it's a compliment. Too many of us have developed an edge here.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Graylight Feb. 12, 1999. The democrat party voted to allow the President of the United States to lie to Federal Grand Juries and to obstruct justice.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@sunsporter1649 Great news for Trump.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@sunsporter1649 WTH? How can anyone be allowed to lie to the grand jury. That’s a load of bull crap 💩
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@SimplyTracie They aren't and thats the problem for a certain President. Put him on a stand under oath and within a minute he will be lying and contradicting himself. And not in a technical way, like Clinton. In a straight out B*ll$h*t salesman way, like he does business.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@SimplyTracie Check it out, Tracie. Slick Willie Clinton was impeached for lying to a Federal Grand Jury, and for obstructing justice. On a straight party line vote, the democrat party did not vote to convict, so now Presidents have been given permission to lie and obstruct justice.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@sunsporter1649 I get it. But Trump wouldn’t lie to the grand jury, would he?
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@SimplyTracie First there has to have been a crime committed, and so far, after months and months, and millions of taxpayer dollars, no crime has been found, therefore no Grand Jury. The previous President used that permission to lie almost every time he opened his mouth. The goddamndemocrats are upset that an outsider has come in and kicked over the rocks, and has found all kind of slimy things crawling out from under the rocks. Instead of attempting to find out why the democrat party policies were rejected by the people of the United States, they fall back on their usual tactics of mud slinging and innuendo. The goddamndemocrats will stop at nothing to overturn elections, there are many examples out there.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@sunsporter1649 The Republicans have the power in both houses + the WH. They should investigate your allegations.

After months and months, there have been indictments. You know that. The President can testify and clear this mess up. I’m sure you too want to see the guilty punished. He should sit down with the Mueller team and tell them what he knows about all that has been said.

If he is better than the former Presidents, he should be honorable and spill. It’s really that simple.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@SimplyTracie Let me give you one example of how Washington protects its own. There is a former Secretary of State running around free, after violating US Code, Section 18, and obstructing the investigation.

The violations you refer to are process crimes, not covered by the original seating of the special prosecutor. If you look closely at the record of the special prosecutor, you will find several interesting cases he has been involved in, such as knowingly hiding evidence in a murder trial, where 4 innocent men went to jail. Cost you, the taxpayer, $100,000,000 dollars to settle with the defendants, and their widows. One of the indictments you refer to was a simple case of forgetting where the defendant was at a specific time in the past, another alleged crime occurred before the scope of the investigation. I personally would not get within 10 miles of the special prosecutor and his 17 henchmen, their job is not to find out the truth about foreign meddling in our elections, but to get rid of Trump, by any means, fair or foul.
