Trump declares the FBI seizing documents from his lawyers as an "Attack on our country"."

Seems he thinks he owns America now.
Does anyone else remember the good old days when the slimy lawyer hiding behind the technicalities to keep some scumbag out of jail was the "bad guy?"

I am curious to find out what law was broken to begin Mueller's investigation.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
I think an investigation begins to find out if any laws have been broken.
hlpflwthat · M
No you're not. Anyone interested would know that Mueller's charge is Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential Election, and any wrong-doing uncovered in that investigation.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@SimplyTracie Hmmm, and all this time I thought investigations were begun after a crime has been committed, to discover the perpetrators. Apparently nowadays anyone can start an investigation of anything at any time for any reason at all. How silly of me to think differently.

suspicion starts an investigation. the suspicion was Russia meddling in our elections. whether or not laws are broken remains to be seen. that is what is investigated. several already have been caught in money laundering, lying to the FBI etc. more may come. @sunsporter1649

@hlpflwthat Apparently colluding with foreign agents to interfere in an election is only against the law when a republican wins an election.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sunsporter1649 Shows how wrong you can be.. The police investigate to find out if actual crimes have been committed all the time..
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@ladycae If you look real close, you may be surprised to discover when these alleged crimes occurred.
hlpflwthat · M
@sunsporter1649 Colluding & collusion are not crimes. But treason is. Whatever makes you feel better, skippy.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman You mean like having unsecured computer servers stored in bathrooms?
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@hlpflwthat Wow, having British spies call up his buddies with the KGB to concoct a phony report is not a crime? I suppose I should have watched more television shows to get the straight scoop on US Laws and the Constitution.
hlpflwthat · M
@sunsporter1649 Is it spray paint or glue in your paper bag?
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@sunsporter1649 Let’s go back and think up a reason for Comey getting fired. I guess that seemed suspicious enough to warrant the probe into obstruction of justice.

I think in corruption cases, suspicion is enough to open an investigation. Wire fraud, money laundering and stuff like that inside government should be looked into if you see [c=#BF0000]red [/c] flags.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@SimplyTracie You mean comey is an angel, never lied to the FISA Judge, Congress, or Trump? Whouda thunk it! Imagine getting fired for nothing. Poor boy should put in for unemployment, with such a clean record as his he should surely be able to get a job as a reporter for cnn.
ladycae · 100+, F
@sunsporter1649 your starting o look a lot like cheeze wiz
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@sunsporter1649 He opened an investigation into Crooked Hillary days before the election and found no evidence of wrongdoing soon after. He’s a bad boy, no doubt about that.

I’m sure that that investigation into Hillary swayed a lot of democrats towards Trump.

And don’t forget, the special prosecutor was hired by a Republican and received the full support of a Republican controlled congress.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@SimplyTracie Without a doubt, mueller is quite the fine gentleman, as long as you do not look to close at his record.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sunsporter1649 Maybe its because he is the first US president deep in the pockets of the Russian state owned banks
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman At least he is keeping the money himself, and not flying plane loads of cash to the ragheads.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sunsporter1649 Now see? Thats the sort of comment that is not helpful.. Pointing out someone elses flaws, real or imagined, does nothing to prove Trump has not done anything wrong.. Innocent until proven guilty is fine.. But investigate until the proof is there, one way or the other.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman How many decades is Mueller gonna keep chasing ghosts and wasting taxpayers money?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sunsporter1649 No idea... But since he was getting paid anyway and this is what these people do, its not really costing a lot. And it sure would be less if everyone cooperated
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman You mean that Mueller and the gang of 17 are working out of the goodness of their hearts? And I suppose that the FBI has nothing better to do than chase ghosts. Thank goodness there is no crime in America, or those FBI agents would be doing nothing but playing games on their computers at taxpayers expense.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sunsporter1649 No.. I mean they were on the public payroll anyway.. (or most were) and this just happens to be their current project. Did you like it better when they were chasing Obamas birth certificate?
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman Actually, I would hope they would be better employed investigating things like the shooter in Florida who was reported twice to the FBI, and ignored the information. Or looking for 33,000 missing emails. Or who leaked the fake documents from that British spy to the newspapers. Or what happened to Judge Crater.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sunsporter1649 Maybe you are right.. But this is the job they were given.
