Not really. States and municipalities are legally permitted to make their own decisions as to the resources they devote.
@WoodyAq nope, they violate federal immigration laws
WoodyAq · M
@Harley4Life Nope. The feds cannot compel the states and municipalities to use their own resources to fulfill federal priorities.
@WoodyAq correct however warning illegals of impending actions by the federal government is aiding and abetting a criminal
WoodyAq · M
@Harley4Life Difficult to prove it's happening, I think ...
@WoodyAq were I am at in California I have people that brag about it. There are people that actively follow immigration officials and hamper any and all attempts to enforce the law
WoodyAq · M
@Harley4Life You mean state and municipal officials do this?
@WoodyAq yes, off duty police officers do it constantly here. The City Council is a fucking joke. There is one individual that tweets anytime he hears about a raid from ICE.
WoodyAq · M
@Harley4Life Well, if they are off-duty and it's their own time ...

@WoodyAq Taxpayers shouldn't be funding cities, states that protect illegal immigrants.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@WoodyAq Cities have no right to warn illegals when ICE agents are looking for them.
WoodyAq · M
@GunSmoke9 Cities aren't. People are.
WoodyAq · M
@GunSmoke9 Those cities, states also consist of taxpayers...
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@WoodyAq Like the mayor?
WoodyAq · M
@GunSmoke9 What mayor is doing what?
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@WoodyAq Fine, let them pay for enforcement alone, leave the feds out of it. No federal funding.
WoodyAq · M
@GunSmoke9 I assume they can deduct that amount from federal taxes they pay?
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@WoodyAq Can't remember her name. I'm sure the story was not on CNN or MSNBC.
WoodyAq · M
@GunSmoke9 Uh huh. Great story, bro.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@WoodyAq Not sure. Then why were states complaining when Trump talked about not funding these cities? They want federal money, but won't enforce federal law.
WoodyAq · M
@GunSmoke9 It isn't "federal" money. It is money that the federal government takes from people, most of whom live in cities.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@WoodyAq Do your own research. I heard her defend herself for warning illegals that ICE was coming. Bro.
WoodyAq · M
@GunSmoke9 I'm not going to research everything you heard or are making up, bro. Not a good use of my time.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@WoodyAq The federal government can deny spending money on cities, states that refuse to follow federal law.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@WoodyAq Not making anything up. If you are too lazy or too afraid to hear what she had to say then you don't want the truth.
WoodyAq · M
@GunSmoke9 No the federal government can't. 10th amendment. Unconstitutional. Supreme Court ruled on it a number of times.
