Washington and Jefferson, Fought a war and setup a new nation against a Monarchy with right and liberties for everyone. It doesn't get more "Liberal Democrat" than that.
Roosevelt, He was instrumental in negotiating the construction of the Panama Canal, linking the east and the west. He was known as the "trust buster" for his work to end large corporate monopolies and ensure the rights of the common working man. Oh yea, that sounds like what? Oh yea .. a liberal Democrat.
Lincoln, the man literally sent us into Civil War on the idea that all men were created equal and slavery should be abolished. Hmmm oh yea another liberal belief.
