Putin laughed at the prior president and did whatever he wanted. Thr prior president drew a number of lines in the sand, Syria comes to mind, however when those lines were cross the prior president backed down. A barking dog with no bite. Now we have a president who when he makes promises will back them up. @WoodyAq

The problem on Russia is that he isn't promising anything, or saying much of anything ... other than that he trusts Putin more than his own intelligence chiefs.
