How many NRA members went on a shooting spree?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@MrBrownstone At least one NRA member went on a shooting spree along side death squads that I know of:
In 1983, Brown accompanied a team of mercenaries to El Salvador. The purpose of the trip was to provide training to the forces of fascist leader Roberto D'Aubuisson. Brown tried to strike a deal with D'Aubuisson where his own mercenaries would replace U.S. Army advisors in El Salvador. The offer was accepted, but never came to fruition. Brown, however, went as far as engaging in combat missions alongside D’Aubuisson’s death squads.
There's probably more if you want to count militias depending but I have no proof if they are part of the NRA or not, but it does fit with the ideology.

@SatanBurger The Salvadoran Civil War is often too ugly for people to really recognize, both because of events like those as well as the involvement of Christianity in it. It messes with a lot of narratives.

@UndeadPrivateer I was wondering why people were ignoring me on the subject.. now I know 😂

I'm not one for glossing over stuff, particularly when it comes to war crimes such as working under fascist dickheads. If it is too ugly for people then maybe they need to remind themselves why it was so ugly in the first place 👍

I didn’t read the article but I have heard that many companies are withdrawing their special discounts for NRA members. It’s good to see them taking a stand too—after all money talks more than anything in this whole mess!
Bean17 · 46-50, F
I agree it’s certainly not necessary—it’s more an indication of the principle of it that they are as fed up with the violence as anyone else and are willing to take a stand about it. It’s telling the young people and everyone else advocating for change that they are with them and support them.@eli1601

@Bean17 And that's fine, but the idea that this is putting pressure on anybody was what I don't buy.

Agreed.. I realise taking guns away from Americans is futile as a way of removing them from society.. There are too many out there... But we have to set the bar higher for ownership and make illegal ownership something to be scared of being caught doing.@Bean17

What pressure?
eli1601 · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman In other words, you don't have a clue. That's what I thought.😂
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
A typical "Trump" response.. Everyone else gets it.. Feel free to have the last word and make yourself less credible.@eli1601

@whowasthatmaskedman 😂 Typical clueless Trump hater response.
