Wether you are pro or anti gun at least know the definition of what an assault rifle is.

I love hearing an AR15 is an assault rifle. Sorry but no it is not. Style yes, actually one no.

I don't think the parents of the 17 dead kids really care what the definition of the weapon is.

We can be pedantic about the exact definition of "assault rifle", but the results don't care.

@waleskinder I would prefer to not be pedantic about 17 dead kids killed by a high-powered assault rifle.

@Pherick of course they don't care. How dare you use their grief and sorrow to derail a discussion presenting just facts.

@abe182 Sorry, not falling for that fake outrage your side feels every time a mass shooting happens.

The point is, a persons desire to see gun reform is no less real and true, even if they don't use the exact definition you would like.

@Pherick riiiight because you think I'm faking outrage when 17 kids are slaughtered. Fuck off.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@abe182 No. I am not going to fuck off, I am going to keep repeating that we need gun reform over and over and over. It will happen, those survivors down in Florida are going to make it happen and I am going to back them 100% of the way.

@waleskinder I am sure you don't think I do, and I don't think you matter either, so it all works out.

I do think though, those kids down in Florida matter and as I said, I am going to help and support them all the way.

@Pherick and when you say gun reform, what is it that you feel would solve everything? I think we need to look at the mental health issues and our kids daily lives. Seems to be the source of the problem.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@abe182 Mental health issues do need to be looked at, but everywhere in the world has mental health issues, what they don't have are mass shootings on our scale AND guns everywhere the way we do.

@Pherick No, no. In Canada, Australia, Japan and Western Europe nobody suffers from mental illness and no one has access to violent video games. Therefore we can’t possibly compare the US to such places and examine what they are doing.
