The Coastal Cities of California wish to split off from the rest of California to become the 51st state. Your thoughts?

Residents of the Coastal cities say that their state is being badly financially mismanaged. California is now the poorest state in the Union. It has been likened to a crazy old Uncle who wants to buy you dinner all the time but he owes a hundred grand to every loan shark. New California, comprised of the west coast cities, would then become the 51st state.

Interesting that calif is licking their lips over the billions that will be coming back home. They've even presented a bill to tax those funds at 50%. If they're not careful apple might just move out of the state. They do need the money badly.

@katielass Funny you should mention apple. When I heard the news about how they plan to break the law and tax merchants who obey the federal law, and 10% surcharge resident businesses, I said to myself, "Silicone Valley will move out of California".
