The Coastal Cities of California wish to split off from the rest of California to become the 51st state. Your thoughts?

Residents of the Coastal cities say that their state is being badly financially mismanaged. California is now the poorest state in the Union. It has been likened to a crazy old Uncle who wants to buy you dinner all the time but he owes a hundred grand to every loan shark. New California, comprised of the west coast cities, would then become the 51st state.

I don't know why everyone's suddenly so mad at California. 40 million people. Have you ever lived a state that large? Florida has half that. Montana has a million and Wyoming just under 6 million. If a state of 40 million people wants to secede and you don't live there...worry about other things for the moment.

@Graylight I was reading through them too, and there was a decidedly racist tone, which saddens but doesn’t surprise me, really. Our President has finally pulled back his [b]sheet[/b] and admitted that it’s not as much about legality as where the immigrants come from. I’m rather disgusted with this impromptu Klan meeting.
