LegendofPeza It is not racist to make good responsible choices. I'll use the 'scorpion' analogy again.
Bark scorpions can potentially kill you. Vinageroons only leave a welt. Pseudoscorpions are harmless. Most people can't tell the difference. They are scorpions. They look like scorpions.
If you look at the murder victims of gun violence in all the major cities in the United States you will see that the overwhelming majority of victims and perpetrators belong to one particular ethnic group. The pattern could not be clearer, even though this group only represents a cross section of 13% of the US population. Now look at Africa, and you see the same exact pattern in most countries on a domestic level. The same pattern exists within the Latino community, and the same pattern exists in their countries of origin. This is not racism. This is just plain fact. This is reality and people need to stop pretending it isn't there.
It is the content of one's character and not the color of one's skin, but the fact that this behavior seems to be genetic has to be acknowledged and processed. Good decisions require hard choices. Do we all have to accept a lie because it has been determined that the truth is racist? The reality of the behavior patterns of certain groups , whether in Honduras, or Somalia, or the United States, cannot be ignored when it comes to the safety of productive people.
This also why I believe 'profiling' is common sense and not a human rights violation. How in the world could the police do their job without profiling?
