Why can't America get more Immigrants from Norway?

*Because they have an excellent universal health care scheme.
* Because they have a longer life expectancy than Americans.
* Because the recently ranked No 1 as the happiest nation on the planet (America comes in at 31)
* Because their nation has a trade SURPLUS of over a trillion dollars
* Because Donald Trump is not the President there.

Worth pointing out that Norway only has a population of 5.2 million.
That may have something to do with it.

I think you will find the Social services , housing, health care and education expenditure her person far outstrips the US spend. Although to be fair they do not subsidize farmers not to grow things or fund a lot of overseas wars.@Picklebobble2

@whowasthatmaskedman So questions need to be asked about what the government of the U.S is spending money on.
And why the standards for healthcare and education are so much lower.

Possibly.. The fact remains that Norway is a high spend nation on welfare, like other Scandinavian nations.. With a high trade surplus.@Picklebobble2

Norway made a decision, decades ago, to spread the oil wealth, so they established a national fund. It's not a static fund, as in it makes strategic investments, and they do have people who make sure that the investments are ethical.

I am not sure why any Norwegian in their right state of mind, would want to come to the US. As an aside, I live in Seattle, a city with primarily Norwegian heritage (followed by Swedish). I read the comments about the weather in Norway. Try living in Seattle. Can't get people to stop coming here.
