Have conservatives ever contributed a f%$@ing thing to your country?
Because in my country they'll always be known for stunting progress and education to name a few things. Slavery, gay rights, voting rights...All libs.

Nothing good. But that’s all politicians. But conservatives are more open about being pricks. But they only act like that so they can pull the “snowflake” card. That’s why anytime an intelligent question is thrown at them they resort to ad hominem attacks or calling everyone snowflakes like that has any meaning to anything. It’s an endless cycle of dumb fuckery that WILL be the ultimate ruination of this already fucked planet.

The Republican party of today is populist, meaning that it feeds on the fears and tears of the underclass. As that group of people has grown due to outsourcing, automation, technology, the high cost of education, changes in the family and secondary effects such as drug use, incarceration, and a failing social safety net it has allowed the vocal ravings of the xenaphobic demagogues to be heard. Rush Limbaugh, Evangelical preachers, Fox News, and the Tea Party are the result. Unfortunately their goal is not to find solutions but to hold on to whatever remaining power they have and increase their domination and wealth at everyone else's, and the world's peril.

@CheshireCatalyst I already know that. Conservative vs Progressives is a timeless struggle for man that knows no political party forever. The republican party of the 1800s was a progressive party and the democrats were conservative. that would change over time.

@CheshireCatalyst Lincoln was a liberal. Lincoln was against the Mexican-American war alongside the most liberal men of his time. Republicans back then were northern liberals and Democrats were southern conservatives. It's easy to spill bullshit, so stop it.

@CheshireCatalyst The thing that people don't get is that those slaveowning Democrats were conservative Democrats---traditionalists. The Republicans used to have more liberals, like Headlines said. Strom Thurmond, like several former "Dixiecrats" jumped ship and joined the Republican Party after the Civil Rights movement. Liberals from both parties were responsible for whatever social progress we have today. Conservatives from both parties have fought to preserve the status quo.
