Why don't we have a minimum quota of Trans politicians?
I think it'd be very inclusive and mean that trans women like me aren't persecuted by the government ever like Donald Trump is doing now

@GreensCornbreadYams To be fair one of, if not the largest contributor to Hillary's loss was the fact that "barely" anyone voted...I'd wager a good number of those people supported her and thought she wouldn't lose.

while i understand the fact that the most people in control are straight white guys, you can't judge a person by their sexuaiy. and if you had a quota on trans then you would need a quota on every minority and there goes democracy out the window because people would be elected based on things other than their ability to govern. what we need is more lbgt people running for high office.

You have a point but I'm frustrated in the fact I don't like the min. quota thing because I'd rather vote and support people based off their decisions and merit rather than "their trans, black, white, conservative, liberal."
That's what makes it hard for me to vote for a president or support anyone is because I'm anti establishment and they always put up people that I just call "pretty faces." They look good on the front page but deep down there's no substance.

@IstillmissEP In my opinion, the quota idea is racist. The majority power (whether Democrats or Republicans) will put up minority representation only to satisfy the public. They do [b]barely enough[/b] to appease people. If you look from far away, they never REALLY do anything. It is smoke and mirrors.
Politics is a catch 22. The majority that goes along with it doesn't help, but then again we're not at that point in evolution yet that we can be trusted with each other.
We still have to have laws just to keep us from murdering and raping so we're
obviously not ready for all that 🙄

We've had black politicians for decades and black people are still discriminated against. It's going to take a lot more than a few token representatives to change a culture
