Are there too many posts about Trump?

Obviously he can't be ignored completely because he is the actual President of the actual United States and IMO he is abysmal for multiple reasons. Really though?

He wants the oxygen of the publicity and he is a troll. He uses the dead cat strategy to distract from more damaging and more fundamental issues and people take the bait.

He also wants people to get angry. Liberals are 'triggered' into a response and his base love that.

I get that it's tricky sometimes because you don't want to ignore attacked on transgender people in the military etc but people need to be aware of the strategy. This is a self reinforcing feedback loop and Trump is not an idiot (in this sense).

There are other and more fundamental political issues in the world anyway. Also there are plenty of issues which relate to Trump where he is merely a symptom of deeper problems rather than the cause. Also, it's boring.

Way too much. Then again it was the same when it was Obama in office.

Politics are stupid and being obsessed to the point one must always talk about them ( especially on internet threads) is damn near mentally deranged. Get a opersonality, life, and hobby.

@MethDozer I am also politically active irl. It is my hobby and I do think it really matters. Just sometimes people have the wrong priorities.

@Burnley123 Politics are NOT a hobby. To treat or think of them as such is extremely frightening and alarming.

@MethDozer Pffff.

I think you misunderstood. I do spend time on it and I have passion for it. I do take it very seriously and I am sometimes accused of taking it too seriously.

It is better than stamp collecting.

Thing is that anyone who actually enjoys and takes pleasure in something politics is kinda dangerous. It's not something to do for fun. Personally I think the protesting and politics for fun is a major problem with the current world.

@MethDozer I think we'll have to agree to disagree.

@Burnley123 That's fine.
Not trying to be a dick but how is politics a hobby and treating them as such a safe thing that doesn't make a mockery out of issues?

I'm asking seriously and wanting to see your take on it.

@MethDozer I don't think politics is safe and I don't always enjoy it.

It's time commitment and it sucks when your side or cause loses. I do enjoy it sometimes but maybe hobby is the wrong word.
