Why do 'Palestinians' think they own the land where Israel sits?

Maybe because they lived there for ages before they got chucked out their homes.

@thatscottishguy Or do you mean surrounding Arab countries committed an act of aggression and then they got advised to leave?
thatscottishguy · 26-30, M
No I mean they got chucked out of their homes because the West wanted a strong puppet state in the Middle East.
quietlitany · 36-40, M
@thatscottishguy Well the Israelis were chucked from their homeland as well... several times....soooooo....
thatscottishguy · 26-30, M
So it was right to do it to the Palestinians?
quietlitany · 36-40, M
@thatscottishguy They didn't get chucked. Britain held the land and Palestine refused to tolerate the presence of Jews and declared war. Britain dicked out and left the two to settle it. They never did.

@quietlitany There is a lot of room for opinion and interpretation, but it is not arguable that many Arabs involuntarily left their homes. One might argue that's okay, so be it, but [i]that[i] it happened is factual.

@SW-User What I hate about this conversation is that the history is LONG and tangled. The Jews were placed there under British rule. The Arabs declared war on them and it's been a see-saw of events ever since. As soon as you take one position, more shit happened to change it. Israel reacts. That's what happens when you're fighting for your survival. The Arabs should let it go and live in peace, but that will never happen.

@quietlitany The refusal to accept the partition is also a fact. And Hamas is a disaster...as is Bibi and the ultra-Orthodox (in my opinion)

@SW-User I feel for the Palestinian people. I just can't get on Israel's back seeing what I seen in those regions.

@quietlitany I feel for both sides and also have negative opinions about both sides.
