How much do you know about feminism?

I noticed that as I look through my other post, and talking with people who support it. A lot of similar things are said which makes me assume that many don't really care to research every problem claimed and said by the movement but rather repeat the same things said by other people. Don't believe everything a person tells you. Look into it yourself. Research history, studies/journals, etc. You can support feminism for all I care but at least if you're going to support it. Research your own claims.

@ladycae LOL.

@LittleAnonymousChick you are lucky that women like me and others paved the way so you are allowed to have an opinion. so that you don't have to be your husbands slave and could not get a job or go to school. you have the right to vote and the right to not be discriminated against due to gender

@ladycae Lol... you don't seem to understand it has nothing to do with women like you and everything to do with technology, birth control, and how easier our lives got. Women have always had a voice. I could easily take away feminism and we would have still got to where we are. Take away technology and birth control? WOmen are toast.

@LittleAnonymousChick if it were not for feminist there would be no birth control. it has nothing to do with technology. tech has not been around long enough to have changed the things the feminists changed long before pcs were even a dream. and no wman have not always had a voice. you asked if people researched things? well i challenge you to do some research.

@ladycae Are you not aware of the women who were in power? Being submissive doesn't mean all women were shut down. As well as the fact that all the MAJOR changes took place as society got more and more advanced. So yes I thank advancement. Every advanced society seems to give women more and more freedom. Yet the most poor places has more and more gender disparities

hahahaa you really need to do some research. woman won the right to vote in 1920. no technology but a lot of abuse for the suffragettes, and no women in power. all 45 presidents have been male, first senator 1922 however she was only allowed to serve 1 day first congress woman elected in the 1916. second women wee many years later no tech and men were in control. and oddly enough, no woman were elected from 1973 to 1978. the only two woman who ran for high office were vilified by them who were in control. through out most of history with the exception of some english queens, men have always been in control. women were considered the property of their husbands and were not allowed to work even if their husbands died. you really need to do the research before you continue to make comments not supported in fact. women who were not married were often thought to be witches though out most of history. and we know what happened to them. woman had little to no control of their lives until feminism started. i am not talking about feminazi's. i mean the brave women who paved the way for you. and yet you will still only earn $.79 an hour to every #1.00 a man earns in the same profession. you can still be groped, assaulted and raped and not get justice and you will still be judged by your looks instead of your brains. you still will find it almost impossible to break the glass ceiling. feminists won the rights for you to have an education that wasn't limited to cooking, sewing, music and cleaning.

@ladycae I disagree completely we were more advanced and as we got more advanced feminism became more rampant. There was definitley technology in the 1920s! You should really do your own research. Of course men were in control but the idea that women had absolutely no voice is a lie. As well as the fact that the wage gap is not because of sexism but what women earn. Women make less than men because they work less hours, less likely to ask for promotions, etc. A lot of it has nothing to do with feminism. In fact there are studies where WOMEN actually get paid more than men. If we talk about sexual assault here. You need to understand that, this isn't a gender issue but more so a human issue. People get sexually assaulted and that is an issue that needs to be solved. As well as the fact that men can have there own preferences. Plenty of men prefer intelligent women and others do not care. It all depends just like how women have preferences. I definitely do my research, It's clear you only skimmed yours.

go on child. you are so sure you know everything. there is no getting you to even entertain the idea of what t was like in the 50's and earlier, maybe someday you will take a women's study class and have to learn or fail. at 18 you haven't a clue. grow up some and i would be willing to bet your tune will change. i have ee trying to respond to you like an adult, but clearly you have the hubris of youth that makes you believe you have all the answers to all the world's issues and that you know everything.so i'm done.
LittleAnonymousChick · 22-25, F
@ladycae The fact that you are using my age is a sure sign you have nothing seeing as I talked to many older women who agree with me. I've been forced into a women's study class and trust me. Diverse opinions and questions are not welcome.
