Huh? To make it a sexist issue would take that the shooter was deliberately going after women. There has been no such evidence this far. I think this might be a jump conclusion. The issue will be about access to weapons if any besides the tragedy itself.

hi SapphicHeart
Why so? There were many female victims. The shooter must have been aware of this. Plainly other dimensions but the gender of such shooters is always male. It is something about men that causes these actions. Sure is about guns but why do men want them?
best wishes

Read my original reply once more, and you should be aware of why. I think it was stated within my reply first place.

@SapphicHeart Many men feel great pressure to confirm to the stereotype of being a man. This includes hunting and shooting. It's very rare a woman would commit such a crime

I don't doubt that mostly men are the ones behind the mass shootings. I questioned the feminist issue in this connection (Las Vegas). I haven't heard any reports that the shooter deliberately was shooting with the aim to target and kill women only.

@SapphicHeart A misunderstanding of the point... No not targeting women at all but damaged by male macho culture

Again, I didn't doubt your point. However, they way the OP has formulated his question I cannot see it as a feminist issue, with reference to my previous replies on this thread.

@SapphicHeart I see his point. It is a feminist issue - feminism can liberste not only women from traditional stereotypical roles but men too

I will disagree, and think the issues around gun violence has to be addressed in other ways than turning them into a feminist issue. Sorry.

@SapphicHeart There is a great deal of evidence
I'll put money on it this man felt inadequate as a man

Like said, no matter what the trigger might be in each case, I think the issues around gun violence has to be addressed in other ways than turning them into a feminist issue.
As for the current case it's to my knowledge too early to make any guesses or conclusions. Let the investigators do their work, and we will know and not guess.

haha I appreciate you are not directing this comment towards me but just to be clear I agree. However I also think a feminist perspective is also usefiul.
