@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Yes, let's not feed or educate children, provide drivable and safe roads and bridges, keep toxins out of our drinking water, offer medical assistance or catastrophe assistance in the wake of, say, a hurricane. Definitely don't help mentally ill people and thereby society; let's not have research, either, or try to cure deadly diseases; let's stop helping crime victims and kids; let's stop researching and preventing communicable and deadly diseases; let's not regulate commerce or promote the arts.

We don't need any of those damned enlightened, thriving citizens fostered by their socialist government.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Isn't the entire reason we elect officials because they promise to improve our living conditions in some way or another? That aside, would you cut of children in poverty? It's not their fault. Additionally, if I were managing an economy of 300Million+ individuals, I'd understand the need to mitigate poverty in order to minimize the systemic economic drag of it that results in thing like hamstrung consumption, depressed wages, real asset devaluation, crime, rioting, and the occasional Marxist revolution.

His suggestion was to get rid of nanny state programs that support people's poor life choices. You went on a rant about not feeding babies or providing roads or helping in times of catastrophe. Hurricanes aren't created by any of our poor life choices. Providing drive-able roads or keeping toxins out of drinking water aren't about not supporting any of our poor life choices. None of your rant correlates to his point.

Or do you think I'm mad because Trump realized that he cannot do anything, without compromising? Not at all? Or that Trump realized that he's just a politician? Not at all.
