just a curious thought...

when trump won presidency... a lot of people were in a state of mass hysteria...

did it also happened when Obama became president? did people jokingly shouted that the white house is going to turn black? [sorry for the racism its just a question] i also watched a southpark episode...did McCain fans got depressed when obama won?

i'm not from american but it doesn't hurt to ask right?

I don't know of any other president that caused a marked, sharp rise in suicide rates, no.

@UndeadPrivateer Serious? Lol. Man, if that's all it takes... yikes. :)
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User Yeah, really. What a shocker that threatening to rip healthcare out from under millions of people with no alternatives(AKA poor people) would lead to suicides. It's almost like they're human or something.
SW-User
@UndeadPrivateer oh shoosh. I did not mean it like that was a good thing. It's just a very final solution no matter how bad things get. Plus, he's not going to rip Healthcare out from them. He's trying to change it. If people are offing themselves for whatever reason obviously that is awful.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User It doesn't matter what his intention is, though your description of "change" is highly amusing, it's the way it's worded and that all the signs lead to there being no replacement. Depression is more common among lower class people than other demographics, for reasons that should be obvious, and when you tell a depressed person that quality of life is going to get worse for them and not better(no longer having insurance that will take care of their medical and mental health) it should come as no surprise whatsoever that you will see an increase in suicides.

It's almost like, oh I don't know, a presidential candidate should be thinking over the wording of his statements a little bit more than not at all so that it doesn't lead to people losing their lives. Though I honestly don't know how one would ever word it to not lead to that, losing coverage is losing coverage no matter how you cut it and that's a bleak outlook for anyone who relies on it.

@UndeadPrivateer You don't help your side when you post bullshit.
katielass · F
@UndeadPrivateer Uh you love spreading propaganda.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@UndeadPrivateer Do you really think that's caused by who is sitting in the White House?
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@nudistsueaz Do you really think that who's in the white house has no effect on people? You can't simultaneously say it doesn't and then say Trump is in because of Obama. That's what you call a double standard.

@katielass Propaganda? Lol. I drank myself half to death on election night, know multiple people who contemplated suicide that night and know people who work for suicide hotlines that have been flooded since. You really don't help your side by regurgitating bullshit covers and propaganda.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@katielass Yes he does.....lol
katielass · F
@UndeadPrivateer If someone contemplates suicide, for whatever reason, their elevator doesn't go to the top floor. It's not the fault of this or that or anything else.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@katielass As someone who has suffered from severe depression for years and knows a number of others who are severely depressed, I have no idea what you're talking about. Depression has definite triggers, it doesn't just happen on its own.
katielass · F
@UndeadPrivateer I don't know where you get your misinformation, maybe cnn or mslsd? Clinical depression, the kind that leads to suicide is NOT more common in lower income people. The internet is loaded with a wealth of information to back me up.
katielass · F
@UndeadPrivateer I think I'll just stop this right here as you are obviously mentally unbalanced.

@katielass True
katielass · F
@UndeadPrivateer Like I assessed, your elevator doesn't go to the top floor. Give it up hon, I'm not going to trigger you. I have many years of studies and the stats to support my assertions.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@katielass You can throw as many half-assed insults as you want, all I'm doing is laughing at your idiocy. Mind linking some of those studies and stats?
