Is it wrong to remove Confederate statues?

Removing these monuments and statues seems like white washing the past to me. There have even been significant calls to tear down the statue of Christopher Columbus in New York because of the way he treated natives. Forgetting your past, no matter how dark it is, is not the way to deal with issues today. What do you think?

so the fuck what.. to me it was just learning history of one portion of many other histories oh and a afternoon trek then lunch. somewhat one of many traditions.

the problems aren't the statues... the problems are these people who must make every freaking thing political and what for actually? will this resolve our equality issues?

@sighmeupforthat It's a legitimate issue as it's become the focal point of America Nazis and other domestic terrorist groups. The statues are now a powerful and uniting symbol for these fascist elements.
