Do u think Donald Trump supports White nationalist groups ?

From behind closed doors, they endorsed his campaign in 2016. And Steve Bannon is on his staff. I think its obvious whats going on here. See its simple when you just look at what's there and why. If Obama had Wright or Sharpton on his staff you would be calling him a racist. So look at it that way. Do you believe that Donald Trump supports White Nationalist groups. What do you think. ☺

See. There's two sides to every story.

The KKK openly supported President Reagan. If you look at Reagan's record, he opposed the Civil Right's act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. But then he voted to extend the Voting Rights Act and vetoed the Civil Rights Restoration act of 1988.

The left tried to make Reagan out as a racist, even speaking of his "wink" to the klan. But in his own words, this is how he rebuked the klan:
Those of us in public life can only resent the use of our names by those who seek political recognition for the repugnant doctrines of hate they espouse.

The politics of racial hatred and religious bigotry practiced by the Klan and others have no place in this country, and are destructive of the values for which America has always stood.
I never liked Reagan's politics, but I felt the left went too far. Reagan. He was an Irish-American like my father's peeps. In Reagan's autobiography he says:
My parents constantly drummed into me the importance of judging people as individuals. There was no more grievous sin at our household than a racial slur or other evidence of religious or racial intolerance. A lot of it, I think, was because my dad had learned what discrimination was like first hand. He’d grown up in an era where some stores still had signs at their door saying, NO DOGS OR IRISHMEN ALLOWED.
And he goes and explains how his father slept in his car in the cold when a hotel clerk bragged about not serving Jews. And Reagan shares a story of how his college football team passed through his hometown, and when the motel wouldn't take the black players, they stayed at his home.

Respect.

IMHO Reagan was the last conservative POTUS. Probably the last we'll ever have.

So yea. Liberals like to make the KKK and other groups stick to presidents. Legit. It's a dirty political game.

I live in a fact-based reality. I'm not about to put POTUS Trump in a pointy hood. I am not going to do what the left did to POTUS Reagan without factual proof. That's about me, not politics.

But what stands out for me is the lack of the definitive condemnation. The Reagan-esque condemnation. I wouldn't judge POTUS Trump's 1st and 3rd barrage of comments regarding Charlottesville if it were not for a similar pattern of being non-committal regarding this stuff. In 2016 Trump demurred when asked about David Duke's support:
I have to look at the group. I mean, I don't know what group you're talking about. You wouldn't want me to condemn a group that I know nothing about. I'd have to look. If you would send me a list of the groups, I will do research on them and certainly I would disavow if I thought there was something wrong. You may have groups in there that are totally fine -- it would be very unfair. So give me a list of the groups and I'll let you know.
As opposed to the "blame on both sides" thing, my governor, the slippery Rick Scott said something Reagan-esque:
It is evil. There is no place in our country for racism or bigotry... There is no moral equivalency between the two sides.
And he's no Ronald Reagan.

What's deeply troubling to me is that Reagan didn't have the internet in 1980's. Trump does. And if I can look at Stromfront and the social media of white supremacist and secessionist groups to see how they feel empowered by Trump's words-- he can. His staff can.
@CopperCicada Yeah, the tool, internet is more powerful than any nuke!

@CopperCicada I'm no Reagan fan but this is a good, measured response.
