Do u think Donald Trump supports White nationalist groups ?

From behind closed doors, they endorsed his campaign in 2016. And Steve Bannon is on his staff. I think its obvious whats going on here. See its simple when you just look at what's there and why. If Obama had Wright or Sharpton on his staff you would be calling him a racist. So look at it that way. Do you believe that Donald Trump supports White Nationalist groups. What do you think. ☺

I don't think he supports or endorses them. He is not going against them because he thinks there is common ground between them and his voting base.
Same as Obama did with black nationalists BLM.
katielass · F
@Cierzo There is no common ground between Trump's base and racist organizations and Trump knows it.
Cierzo · M
@katielass It is a matter of political estimations. Trump sees that alt-right media that supported him, also support white nationalism, so he prefers not to openly break up with them. It does not mean that he agrees with them.
katielass · F
@Cierzo His remarks yesterday completely prove otherwise.
Northwest · M
@Cierzo BLM Is not a black nationalist organization. While I disagree with some of their tactics, but they are correct on the issue of black lives, and saying that blacks kill blacks, is a false equivalency (not that I'm saying you do that).

Equating BLM and KKK is falsehood.
Cierzo · M
@Northwest Their name proves the opposite
Northwest · M
@Cierzo Interesting. I never took you for someone who only reads the cover. As a European, you may not have a way to relate, but in the US, it really matters.
Cierzo · M
@Northwest Apart from the cover, it is the fact that they only care about white cops killing blacks, but not about the other many combinations.
Northwest · M
@Cierzo They do, because no one else seems to care about "cops" killing blacks (not just white cops).

The assumption is that if it's a black person, and they get stopped by cops, then cops, even non-racist cops, have a tendency to pull the trigger first and ask questions later. BLM is exposing the ugly side of race relations in America, especially in inner cities, and people don't like that, and that includes some of the liberals.

I used to have an allergic reaction to the "name", but I dug into a bit deeper, and I don't fault with their logic, though as I said, I have an issue with some of their tactics.
Cierzo · M
@Northwest The idea that American policemen shoot first and ask questions later is a worldwide commonplace, regardless of the race of the stopped person. Police brutality is the issue, not racism.

Playing the racial card, supporting racial identity politics, and complain that groups of opposite ideology do the same is wanting to have the cake and eat it.
Northwest · M
@Cierzo PS: As a human being, I wish there would be a single group called humans, and in my ideal world, humans advocate for humans.

In the real world we live in, we often need special advocacy groups, because it seems as if it's out of sight, it's out of mind
Northwest · M
@Cierzo
Police brutality is the issue, not racism.
I never said it was, and I said in my post that racism does not seem to be the issue. Nevertheless, it is what happens.
Cierzo · M
@Northwest
In the real world we live in, we often need special advocacy groups, because it seems as if it's out of sight, it's out of mind
I would agree if it was not always the same ideology choosing the groups that suit their agenda.
Northwest · M
@Cierzo I'm pointing out that basing an argument on a circular reference, is futile.

The counter argument to BLM, is that the issue seems to be black on black violence, and so the black community needs to solve its own problems, but solving its own problems, also means resolving the issue of mistrust, which is at the root cause of why black men seem to be shot by cops. So, then we're back to the beginning of this sentence.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Northwest And as I told one person before. Most blacks don't even care about Black lives matter. Its the Whites who have supported this agenda and air it on cable news to create a propaganda machine as always. Its the Liberal establishment in charge of this. I hope you get it now. I doubt that you do. ☺
Northwest · M
@Zonuss Yes, I get it. You have no clue, and I doubt you ever will.
@Northwest Funny you should say that. Please compare contributions to the Republican party so far this year, to contributions to the democrat party. Something is fishy in Denmark, oh well informed one.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Northwest What's funny is that you never answered this question. Truth hurts doesn't it.
Northwest · M
@puck61 1. It's "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark." Hamlet (1.4) oh, not so well informed one.

2. You claim to know the actual contributions? Great, because that makes you the only one in the world who knows, and in fact, if you claim to know where money goes, then you would be the only one in the world who knows as well. More to the point, what it is a contribution to the GOP? Is it to the national? local? state? which campaign? what about PACs?

Try again.
Northwest · M
@Zonuss
What's funny is that you never answered this question. Truth hurts doesn't it.
a

You mean your original question? No, I did not respond to it. I responded to a comment by Cierzo. It's your responsibility, as the person who started the thread, to ask people to remain on topic. I do, when it's my thread.

Cierzo brought up BLM, and you seconded that MOST black people don't care about BLM. You don't know that. Being black, does not make you the spokesperson for blacks. It only allows you to provide your own perspective, based on your own experience, in your own community.

As to the "truth hurts doesn't it", look in the mirror.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Northwest Of course I know this to be true. Why ? Because I am Black. That's why. ☺
@Northwest My colloquial use of the phrase is a ridiculously petty approach!
I know 'that Scottish play'...When people reach so far to find some kind of kindling it reveals a lot! 😆

Zonuss · 41-45, M
@puck61 @puck61 The same thing was said about the GOP when Obama became president. Put the kool aid down kid. ☺
@Zonuss I'm a long ways from any cool aide/ You should actually watch the video.
Northwest · M
@puck61 OMG. If you look up incoherent, and not being able to make a point, you will find this video as an example.
