I Write Poetry

Lost In My Despair

The chains of my despair
Hinder my own progression
Thoughts of you flood my mind
Seas of rage flood my heart

Will I ever be whole again?
My heart aches from the loneliness
I choke on the stagnant air of sadness
My thirst for love left unquenched

I need a helping hand
Yet there are none to be found
I scream for an answer
Yet there are none

I am left to drown
Beneath the abyss of my own regret
I gag on my own shame
Choking upon the words I spoke to you

No one is there to hear my cry
My tears fall silently
I am lost to the world
Never to be found again

This is hauntingly beautiful. I am sorry you suffer so. You are very talented though!! 🙃 I hope and pray you find peace and healing. This life is often like licking honey off a thorn . . .

My pleasure - 'tis simply the truth! 😇 I understand, I've always done the same. I am passionately in loves with language. The hardest part often is trying to fully and completely express it all in words. They often fall so short. I so often feel I'm attempting to speak the unspeakable. And yet, I couldn't live without it. Such a wonderful outlet and lifeline. I deff ardently encourage you to keep writing Monsuier! Very healthy outlet and coping mechanism. It's funny how it doesn't necessarily change anything persay, and yet at the same time - it literally changes everything.
