Broken Down

How could you leave me like this
Broken down, alone and forgotten
Your cold shoulder chills me to the bone
My love for leaks from my broken heart

My lifeline fades away
I sink deeper in the despair
Left behind by your trail of anger
I know you hate me, I hate myself even more

I hate that I allowed you to break me
I hate that I let you inside me
I hate I gave you so much of me
I hate that I gave you a chance

I allowed you to do this
It was never fair, yet it happened
Now I am alone and you are gone
You live free, while I suffer alone

My love for myself dwindles
My hatred grows strong
It should have never been this way
You will forever be wrong
