Poem Title: If

If I decide to sleep a little late today
Would you notice the dark circles under my eyes?
If I decide not to brush my hair today
Would you notice my hair’s unruliness and flyaways?
If I decide, despite my cheerfulness, to be quiet today
Would you feel the emptiness in the room because of my absence?
If I decide to put lots of dots on my usual okays…
Would you notice my racing thoughts and mindless chaos?
If I decide not to take your hand on our late-night walks
Would you notice I’m already slipping away?
If I decide not to respond to your kisses today
Would you notice my love diminishing, day by day?
And if one day I stop asking these questions—
Would you notice then, or would it still feel the same?

Beautifully written and illustrated. Thank you for sharing and cheers to expressing yourself out loud. Not only does it help you, it gives others courage as well.

@ScreamingFox thank you very much.
This poem is actually for those people who longed to be seen. :)

@stayfickle felt. I'm also invisible

@ScreamingFox oh I see all of you lots.

Though I hope you find someone (can be a friend or a lover ) who can really “see” you on days you feel invisible.
