Take it away these words you say
Cast upon the shadows of the night
take it away the better half of me
the things I ought to know
...but yet don't
truth is upon the stars
yet seldom
do we know it as such
haunted, lost, and forsaken within these words
these trembled vices of such remorseful antiquities
it radiates out among us that which we are
...and...that which is meant to be
Words, that's all it really is anymore just words
they don't do anything, yet they do so much
words, crazy isn't it?
Why we search our entire lives for words
without it , we can't seem to find our way
and these same words heaped upon the sky
cast in prayers or silent say
Sometimes three and sometimes more
sometimes said in anger
sometimes.... when we can't bear any more
that is all life truly is
a series of random sentences, jumbled together
stitched and stretched in every direction
struck in stuck out, mismatched clothing
...a child just randomly picked out
yet, in all these things
hearing such sweet beauty passed down to our ears
we quiver and quake and that's all we ever want
...ever “wanted so much”
but truly it could be any word you might say
the right one
the right time
bleeds true the crimson heart of the souls that define us
the hallowed grounds of who we are, who we ever wanted to be
these three little words,
“I love you”.
