[b]Remember How We Forgot[/b]

Remember how we forgot

To live our lives to the fullest,

Like we said we would?

Remember when

We no longer stopped

To smell the roses?

And we became blind

To the beauty that surrounds us.

Remember how we forgot

How to be creative?

Favorite colors once bright

And full of delight

Turned dull & grey.

Then your thoughts

Became the same way.

Remember when things we loved

Appeared as things we hate

Out of fear of the thoughts

Others would create?

Remember when

We discovered autopilot

And we soon forgot

How to turn it off?

We now walk

Like zombies.

Repeating the same thing

Like programmed wirings

Unable to stop ourselves

From forgetting

All our memories.

We slowly fade away

Replaced by

Nothingness

As pieces of ourselves

Are lost.

Remember how we forgot?
