An Old but Gold Poem I Told
If the World was backwards,
you know what I'd do?
I'd put my sock on last,
and first on my shoe.
I'd jump down there,
instead of up to.
I'd say goodbye when I was coming,
and hello when I was going.
I'd wear my clothes inside out,
so my undergarments are showing.
I'd sit on the sidewalk and stand on the bench.
Instead of a fork,
I'd use a wrench.
I'd eat dinner first,
and breakfast last.
I'd have dessert first,
at a quarter past.
I'd read books from back to forwards.
That's what I'd do,
if the world was backwards.
you know what I'd do?
I'd put my sock on last,
and first on my shoe.
I'd jump down there,
instead of up to.
I'd say goodbye when I was coming,
and hello when I was going.
I'd wear my clothes inside out,
so my undergarments are showing.
I'd sit on the sidewalk and stand on the bench.
Instead of a fork,
I'd use a wrench.
I'd eat dinner first,
and breakfast last.
I'd have dessert first,
at a quarter past.
I'd read books from back to forwards.
That's what I'd do,
if the world was backwards.
