Lamenting past
He thought of his past, he thought as he trained.
That his words would so grant an understanding that meant,
In his previous life sins of both types himself had been stained,
And in his new life, those sins he would try to prevent.
But never forgive the man that spoke, as he was.
Who dissuaded and polluted the dreams of his friends,
Who blamed and took fault without thinking himself the cause,
To those, he would give anything to make his amends.
To the ignorant man he had been and spoke without thought,
To the words of those he trusted who with malevolence would act,
And took with closed mind the ideas of others he sought,
With confidence others opinions he stated as fact.
The day he had finally understood the foolish image he had wrought.
Was the day doubt and anxiety took hold and his mind began to crack.
