From Marilyn's collection.... [I Love Meaningful Poetry]
Life — I am of both of your directions Somehow remaining hanging downward but strong as a cobweb in the wind — I exist more with the cold glistening frost. But my beaded rays have the colors I’ve seen in paintings — ah life they have cheated you.
— Marilyn Monroe
The image was from her last photoshoot on July13, 1962. Just three weeks later, she was found dead at 36.

Marilyn will always be a beautiful soul to me!! I have always been a huge fan of hers and her natural beauty. She has been and always will be an inspiration. 💖💞🌷
@SW-User I've read nearly every biography on her and own a couple. I'm a lover of Old Hollywood, but don't consider her one of the greatest actresses. The Prince and the Showgirl is my favorite. I indentify with the hidden part of her that few knew.. the avid reader, her humor, the lover of poetry, being politically motivated (beyond the Kennedy boys' pants), her love for animals and a lot of her perspectives. My favorite is...

I guess even she believed in silver linings. Too bad she didn't encounter many in her short life.💔

@MoonlightLullabyOld that is totally beautiful. I love the meaning behind that. I can surely see why its your favorite!! ☺🌷 everyone always focuses on her and the Kennedys and drug addiction. She was so much more as you have just shown me. I do and will always see her outer and inner beauty!! A great mind, heart, and soul. I am a lover of old Hollywood myself. I have read some biographies on Marilyn. But, i never knew how deep she was. I read the wrong ones. Seems she did believe in silver linings. 💔 very short life!!
@SW-User Here's an extremely disheartening piece I found in my albums. She was so sad. Not to mention, she was surrounded by people yet so lonely and scared. 😢

@MoonlightLullabyOld i can really identify with this. She put on such a brave face for her fans and people surrounding her.....but, deep down she was lonely and scared. But, this is one beautiful piece that you found!! I see myself in this. I may see someone else also. 🤗 all we can do is support one another and be there when we can. 💖
I'm really feeling this part of the original poem i posted, and that's why I pinned it..
But my beaded rays have the colors I’ve seen in paintings — ah life they have cheated you.
*Sigh*

@MoonlightLullabyOld this truly hits home more than ever now!! 💖 thanks to you and Marilyn!! 🤗
@SW-User I'm glad it does. It took me awhile to identify with "those feelings". I have always loved it, but never felt it til this past year. I just wish she'd have known her true beauty before she left this world. She thought she was discarded & used up trash.😔

@MoonlightLullabyOld yes, i know that all too well.....she gave this world such beauty and inspired many. I just now truly identified.....thank you for redirecting me to your beautiful post and her words!! 💖🤗
