i hope that when youre older
you look back at the time we had
and smile
the smile where the one dimple on your cheek and the one below your eye show,
your eyes lighting up.

i hope when youre older
you learned that its okay to not be okay.
you are so strong, and so tough
life hasnt been easy and yet
you are making sure to not let it bring you down.

i hope when youre older
you learn to love yourself
the way i loved you years before
i hope you get the life you dreamed of
the life we had dreamed of.
i hope you are happy with yourself and at peace.
