The scream

I'll probably regret this but what the hell .
The scream

i know how it is to hurt all alone
When nightmares hide deep within dreams
And little boys hold all their secrets inside
But, when do I get to scream?

I know what it's like to be silent and brave
And stand still while fingers ream
And fight the tears back, when the night seems so black
But when do I get to scream?

I know what it's like to make yourself numb
And pretend you have great self-esteem
To live someone's life whom you don't know at all
Who smiles through his urges to scream.

And when I am dead and they open me up
They will find things were not what they'd seemed
For the child and the man and the demons will fly
Out of me, with a deafening scream.

When I was eight years old a man made me have sex with him. I know lots of girls are abused sexually, emotionally and physically. Your poem showed me it's even harder for boys because you have no one to turn to when they wreck your lives.

@Blodyn In these cases i think the aftereffects might be different but it's every bit as hard for girls as for boys.Part of the difference is people believe it shouldn't happen to boys like a boy should be able to fight them off but a 8 year old boy can't fight off a grown man. That makes it harder for boys to speak about it.

@kodiac & @Blodyn the reality of child molestation is that it shouldn't happen period. Not from celebrities, World's Elitist, politicians etc. whom pay for it, not by anyone. People who molest children need help. Not torment, not ridicule, but serious help. Usually molesters became that way because they to were abused as a child. It doesn't in any way excuse their sick behavior but it does indicate they do in fact need help.

@Bang5luts First, molest? Why not call it what it is RAPE!! Child rape. Sounds a tad more serious than molest doesn't it? People have this misconception that oh well its just a little touching ya know? Molest not like being sodomised at age 8 is it? If you ever looked pure evil in the eyes i doubt your first thought would be how can i help them. Another misconception is the abuse excuse most survivors of child rape do not go on to repeat the act. Child rapists deserve to either rot or die period. I think it's nuts you would make this response to two rape survivors.

@kodiac I was toning it down for the audience at hand, but yes it is rape. Unfortunately people have become numb to that word.

What I don't understand @kodiac. Is why a person urinating behind a dumpster, tree, or bush can get the same charge as a child rapist?? And have to be a registered sex offender?

@kodiac it is if it happens to a child and the child grows up and does it to a different child when they are an adult

@Bang5luts That is what society believes oh he got abused that's why he raped children, and why do they believe that because the rapist says so? Stats and personal experience show that very few survivors go on to repeat.But lets believe this animal .
